Performing arts (Bellydancing, acting & presenting) have been part of Sophie's world from a young age. She has performed on stages across the globe as well as on TV, radio and film. Sophie has trained extensively with Sheffield Theatres, Contact Manchester, as well as workshops at RADA, SKY Television and Third Angel Theatre Company. Very recently Sophie has appeared in Channel 4's Hollyoaks.

Her dance career began in contemporary dance at Sheffield Youth Dance. She then continued to learn Bollywood and Street Dance although it was Bellydance that became Sophie's main passion. She reached the live finals of Britain's Got Talent 2008 with her Bellydancing skills.

Sophie has combined her love of performing arts with her linguistic abilities. She has worked as a Summer Camp tutor in France and Italy, alongside completing a TEFL teaching course. As part of her degree she worked as an English, Dance and Drama teacher in Naples, Italy where she also studied Music Therapy.

She has completed a JWAAD Teacher Training course in Arabic dance, as well as, being certified as a Zumba teacher.

She now teaches drama, Bellydance, Bollywood and Zumba at Sophie Mei Schools.
